Whatchu Talkin’ Bout West?

West is a very verbal child. Everyone tells me that the second child is usually a late talker because the older sibling does all the talking for him. I think West knew from day one that he was on his own. Cash is not the most helpful big brother. Cash was a late talker and I’ve never been around any other early talkers so I am constantly amazed at the things that come out of West’s mouth. He has recently started asking “why” questions, no doubt because he hears Cash ask “why” at least a THOUSAND times a day. Yesterday, the boys and I picked Travis up from work and after Travis put his computer bag in the trunk West said his longest sentence to date, “Why did you put your work bag in the trunk?” A ten-word sentence with pronouns and a preposition and he just turned two! I’m staying off the phone for the next few days – I’m sure Harvard will be calling once this gets out.
